"Nhưng mà đời. Vô thường hư không. Làm ơn sống có cái tấm lòng."
When one has a marginalized identity, that aspect of their life cuts through and impacts every other way that they interact with the world. A diversity discourse that does not center around restorative justice practices, is no more than a tool for erasure and commodification, and does nothing but legitimizing racial inequalities. My commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion therefore goes beyond a desire for representation and extends to the necessity to subvert aesthetic approaches to equity and challenge superficial celebration of diversity.
